Self-Emptying February 19

1 John 2:6 reminds us, “Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.” One of the earliest recorded Christian creeds or hymns is likely Philippians 2:6-11 which reveals to us Jesus who empties Himself all the way to the cross.

February 17 marks Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lent season in the church calendar leading up to Resurrection Sunday, or Easter Sunday. This season invites us to look closer at the self-sacrificing way of Jesus - His self-emptying - and to practice walking as He did. 

This 2 hour retreat incorporates a communal time of quiet reflection, retreat prompts to guide your time, and space for silence and contemplation to help you discover the ways you may be invited to practice self-emptying this Lent season.
